Last December 14, 2009, roughly three weeks before I launched Balatasan Chess Club (BCC), I went to Balatasan Elementary School and conducted a survey on chess.
I discovered that, out of 279 pupils, only 9 pupils know how to play chess. That is 3.22% of the total population Balatasan Elementary School.
The names of the pupils who know how to play chess are listed below.
Grade VI:
1. Richard Castillo
Grade V:

Balatasan Elementary School Population SY: 2009 – 2010
I am hoping that, through Balatasan Chess Club (BCC), the percentage of chess playing pupils in Balatasan Elementary School would increase.
Balatasan Chess Club (BCC) provides an avenue for promoting chess education in Brgy. Balatasan, Bulalacao, Oriental Mindoro.
